Uncle Al Jourgensen and guitarist Mark Thwaite (Mission UK, Peter Murphy, Tricky, Mob Research), both long-time friends of and collaborators of the late Killing Joke/Ministry bassist Paul Raven, have joined forces to create the song "It's Always Christmas Time".
This new track will be released in the near future as a digital download BUT in honor of the memory of Paul Raven 13th Planet will preview the entire track for one day only on October 20th, 2009, the second anniversary of Raven's death. Al Jourgensen Collaborates With Mark Gemini Thwaite
Uncle Al Jourgensen has hooked up with guitarist Mark Thwaite (Mission UK, Peter Murphy, Tricky, Mob Research) in the studio, collaborating on several projects simultaneously. Jourgensen and Thwaite, both long-time friends of Killing Joke/Ministry bassist Paul Raven, who passed away October 20, 2007, joined forces recently at Jourgensen's 13th Planet compound in Texas on RevCo projects and another Jourgensen side project.
Thwaite collaborated with Ministry/RevCo guitarist Sin Quirin on Filthy Senoritas, for the upcoming RevCo release slated for Spring 2010. But the crowning jewel of the Jourgensen/Thwaite collaboration is the newly penned as yet untitled Christmas Song to be released via digital download exclusively this Thanksgiving. To celebrate the memory of their "favorite pirate" Paul Raven 13th Planet will debut the track on October 20th, 2009 via Ministry's Myspace page.

Ministry Nominated For Grammy Once Again
13th Planet artist and founder Al Jourgensen and Ministry were nominated for their 5th Grammy Wednesday night, December 3rd during a live ceremony at the Nokia Theater in LA and primetime broadcast on CBS. The track "Under My Thumb" from Ministry's album "Cover Up," released on 13th Planet Records April 1, 2008 got the honors this time in the Best Metal Performance category.
"Under my Thumb" was produced by the multi-platinum sellling Jourgensen who also provided pedal steel guitar, harmonica, programming, and background vocals on the track. The song was sung by Burton C. Bell (of AotW) and features bassist Tony Campos (Static-X) and guitarist Sin Quirin (RevCo).
The 51st Annual Grammy Awards will be held on Sunday February 8, 2009, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and broadcast live on CBS.
